Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is a famous American actress fashion designer and model. Following a brief time as a model in the fashion industry, she quickly transitioned to acting by appearing as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. The film debut came with the show Nowhere which was released in 1997. She made the transition to big roles through her appearances as a character in American Beauty for which she received nominations for an BAFTA Award and American Pie both of which earned the attention of the world. In the following years, she starred in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun, a independent drama from 2002, and the Trauma (2004) thrillers both featured in her career. She also appeared in the HBO's drama series Six Feet Under in 2004 she was nominated as an Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The show also featured her in Day of the Dead and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, and the film versions of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has appeared in many fashion blogs and magazines and blogs, such as Vogue. Suvari is a Lancome model, and is featured on print advertisements in Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari has been a loyal supporter and activist for the esteemed African relief group, The African Medical and Research Foundation. In addition, she has been involved with issues of empowerment for women and charities that promote breast cancer research and End Violence Against Women.
